Summoner Testing Begins
The Summoner has officially arrived and is now ready for PTR testing! This versatile new archetype allows testers to command powerful vessels that can tank, deal damage, and support their allies. With unique playstyles centered around summoning and managing companions, the Summoner brings an entirely new way to experience Ashes of Creation.
Learning the Summoner’s Kit
As a Summoner, you’ll unlock a skill tree filled with eerie and exciting abilities that let you bend spirits to your will:
- Spirit Shred - Apply damage over time to a single target while generating your archetype resource, Essence.
- Mortal Blast - Unleash a devastating AoE attack that spreads Spirit Shred to nearby enemies.
- Hex - Curse your foes, dealing massive damage when the hex expires. The more damage you deal, the sooner it triggers!
- Extract Vessel - Draw strength from your summons to heal yourself.
- Siphon Vessel - Reclaim mana from your companions to keep the fight going.
But of course, no Summoner is complete without their loyal companions. You can command one of three spirit vessels at a time, each offering a distinct role:
The Guardian - A steadfast protector who specializes in pulling aggro, soaking damage, and disrupting enemies. With Stomp, the Guardian slams the ground, damaging foes and generating threat.
The Hunter - A nimble striker capable of melee and ranged assaults. Its signature ability, Eviscerate, deals devastating single-target damage when striking from behind.
The Mystic - A supportive vessel that heals, shields, and even dishes out AoE damage from afar. Recreate restores an ally’s health and can group-heal under certain conditions.
